Aidan has a plan…keep his mate safe, claim her as Destiny demands, and live happily ever after for all eternity. Biding his time. Waiting so very long. It’s now or never. All he has to do is save her from his homicidal brother. Sibling rivalry with scales and swords was never in his game plan.
Grace has always believed she could save the world one downtrodden criminal at a time. The inherent goodness of people is her bright, guiding light. But when her moral compass is rocked to its very core, as she shocks even herself by reaching for the man who invades her dreams and sets body on fire, can she come to terms with the completely fantastic world she’s been drawn into?
Running from forces both natural and magical, her sharp wit and his fierce strength are the only things between them and certain death. Can Grace distract the Traitor long enough for her Knight in shining scales to save her? Will Aidan make it in time? Can he drive his battle-worn sword through the heart of his own flesh and blood? Will this couple defy all odds and ultimately find they're happily ever after?
The Universe Does Not Make Mistakes. Grace was made for Aidan.
There Simply Are No Coincidences. This Guardsman will protect his Mate at all costs.
Fate Will Not Be Denied…But the cost may be immeasurable.

First off I would like to say that I've read a few of the books in this series and I really enjoyed them. This particular entry however is very poorly done and I find the female protagonist to be an absolute moron. *Spoiler Alert* The nicknames given her and the preceding book are forced do not add to the story or contribute to the character except to force a notion down our collective throats. I got to the point where I was skimming pages just to finish the story and I couldn't even manage to finish it that way. From a poorly placed sex scene in the middle of a major plot point, to her constant childish whining, to her getting herself captured in the most idiotic way possible it just left a foul taste in my mouth. The notion that her presence during the raid was crucial to the apprehension of the main mortal villain was flimsy at best and then to think she comes bursting out of the bushes so overcome with rage that she leaves the girls behind and completely ignores ALL of what was explained to her in the last god knows how many chapters. It's idiotic. The entire story line was forced to create danger that was completely avoidable and could have been crafted in a much more elegant manner. The entire story line was forcibly contrived so that she would end up in Andrew's hands. Which could have happened in the first couple of chapters so much more conceivably then throwing them through random sex scenes and arguing scenes that were uncomfortable and made her feel more like an ignorant a** rather than a capable intelligent lawyer. Even for casual romance this was god-awful.Product details

Her Dragon Fire Dragon Guard Series Book 2 eBook Julia Mills Linda Boulanger Lisa Miller Reviews
I love Dragon Shifter books, they are amongst my favourite genres to read and there are never enough great books to read in this genre. This series was definitely a perfect find for me. The writing was very good and the story pulled you in from book one and continued in book two. I am so looking forward to the third book in this series.
The first Book followed the leader of the Dragon Guard Rayne and his Mate Kyndall's story and I thought that was a great book... but book two, "Her Dragon to Slay" was just that much better! "Her Dragon's Fire" was Aiden and Grace's Story and you could sense the Love between them and the connection they had.
Aiden was sexy hot and an oh so romantic alpha male, Grace was a very independent strong woman as well, she had a mind of her own and challenged Aiden every chance she could. There was so much more to these characters and the obstacles they faced and had to overcome made you feel just that much more for them, especially Aiden. There were definitely some very steamy scenes, which I love, very detailed and scorching hot. One can only wish they had a Man so devoted to a Woman"s every need like the men (Dragons) in these books!
The writing was fantastic and brought the characters to life and I had a hard time putting this book down (I got nothing done over the weekend I read both books in 2 days). The book was edited really well and the story flowed from one page to the next effortlessly. I can only hope that the rest books in this series get better. I loved that there is a little about all of the characters in the books and you get a glimpse at previous characters and what they are doing. I can't wait for Lance and Samantha's story, April can't come soon enough.
I would definitely recommend this series to those who like the Paranormal genre. It was an outstanding read and you won't be disappointed.
This book was much better than Book One because the plot was a lot more interesting, and I enjoyed the action. However, the writing is still a bit repetitive, too detailed in parts, and there are too many things that were very similar to the first book.
I love Aiden as much in this book as I did in the story about Rayne and Kyndel. He has strength, passion, and is not afraid to show or feel emotions.
Grace, on the other hand, started out being a heroine I liked, but she soon became demanding, insensible, and even put their lives at risk with her foolishness...all because she had to see everything "with her own eyes!" Really?!
I liked the other characters, the brethren--Lance, Royce, Aaron, and Devon. I definitely want to read their stories. I'm also curious about what eventually happens to Aaron's and Aiden's traitorous brother, Andrew.
This was the longest 300 page book I've ever read. I gave the first book 3 stars hoping that the second would get better, that the author would hit her stride, but sadly that didn't happen. Book 2 is book 1 with a bigger plot. Pages and pages AND pages of inner dialogue that just repeated itself. And much of it exactly the same from book 1. Too often I was yelling at the characters to just get to the point. Then i just started skimming. And what's with the one page chapters? Just because you're changing the pov doesn't mean you need to start a new chapter. The story is in third person. Sixty-four chapters for a 300 page book is a little excessive! Humor is added in weird places and usually not very funny, it's actually very juvenile for 100 year old dragons. And don't get me started on the sex scenes! If I read the words weeping pussy or flowing juices one more time... Plus there's the misused words (her bra was runied, not wasted) and the use of quotes around names. I don't know who re-edited this, but they need to be fired. The only reason I'm giving this 2 stars instead of 1 is because I managed to finish the story. But this is where I stop reading this series.
