That was, until the doctor found a lump on Lief’s testicle during a routine physical exam.
When Gunner met Lief he never imagined falling for a guy who may end up just as sick as Louis had been. But Gunner wasn’t the type of individual to cut and run, so when Lief gets some depressing news about his health, Gunner is at a loss.
And if Gunner thinks he’s lost, Lief is in permanent denial.

We first meet Gunner Crosby , the wealthy co-owner of a company that restores and sells vintage cars during the terminal days of his friend, Louis, who is dying from testicular cancer while Gunner tries his best to help his friend even though Louis has given up all hope. Soon after Louis is in the hospital for the last time, Gunner meets Lief Constantine, an exquisitely beautiful personal trainer who is training for an Iron Man contest which he is determined to win in order to get the money he wants from endorsements that will be offered to him if he finishes in the top ten. Because Lief is as enthusiastic as Gunner about vintage cars, they get to know each other and quickly become sexually entangled. Needless to say, the sex is as stimulating and hot as one has come to expect from this incredible author. The fly in this ointment is that when Lief goes in for a medical exam prior to the coming race, a small lump if found in one of his testicles which is then removed and biopsied. Gunner is faced with the possibility of having another lover with terminal testicular cancer which he is not certain he can deal with despite his growing love for Lief. And Lief is refusing to find out the results of the biopsy, at least until after the race. Despite this potentially dreadful situation, G. A. weaves a wonderful, exciting and sometimes humorous love story that you really do not want to miss.Product details

This book was truly amazing! The story was beautiful and just really got to me. I loved the characters & how everything was handled. Truly a great read!
There was no part I didn't like. Please continue the great work. I will try another book this week, but this will be my only review. You have to use to words for
G.A. Hauser hits another home run with this story of Gunner and Leif. I have loved her writing more and more with each new novel and story. This story was no different. You quickly become very invested in their love story and you rout for this couple. So well done.
Big fan of this book. The love,strength these two showed each other was out of this world. Another great book by a great author. She never lets me down.
I really loved these to men. In the back of my mind I kept wondering... Why is it always the rich and elite gay men that deserve to find true love and happiness? Don't poor or average income gay men deserve love and happiness too? I was always under the impression that love didn't care what your income level was. Anyway, just asking...
I'm not crazy about cars or very interested in triathlons but the author managed to make them both interesting to me. However, there was a lot of sex between MCs who met during a critical time in both their lives and who didn't really know each other. I really liked Gunner's kindness and attitude about life; Lief not so much. All in all given the subject matter, it was a well written book and not the angst filled drama that it could have been. An epilogue taking place a few years later would have been nice.
I liked the idea of the story and how the main characters met, although their romance felt very rushed. There didn't seem to be any closure with Louis and his family. I wanted to find out what happen with the old man and the race car that Gunner bought. Did Leif get the endorsements he so desperately wanted? Tell us how Lief introduced Gunner to his friends and family. What was up with the flirting between Lief and the movie star? (Is there another story there?) I teared up at several times while reading and that is a sure fire way to hook me on a book till the end.
