Thoroughly enjoyed this and the preceding book by this author. Would love to read more books by Anna Kashina and hope she can find plenty of time to write when she's not being a molecular biologist.
This book really surprised me. I was not expecting much, but as I got into the story it drew me in deeper. It had twists and turns I never expected. It takes you away, which is what a good book should do. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend it.
Great sequel! It kept the story going without getting boring or feeling rushed. If you aren't careful you'll get sucked in
The characters are richly drawn, the setting I masterful. A well realized world and civilization with a history and politics that are both familiar and internally consistent. Now I long to hear the sound of the tama domga and see the dance!
I like the book so far. Some parts are slow but for the most it is pretty good. Once I finally got into the first book (about 1/3 way into the book), I really HAD to find out what was going to happen to the characters. ☺
A timeless love story where love conquers all. Without a lot of the tedious not so soft porn in a lot of modern works. The love is not confined to that between the two main characters, but also those others that they care for. More cannot be sent without giving away the plot surprises. To love conquers all.
I finished reading this book in one sitting, it was that good. I could not put it down! You have wizards and djinn and princesses - the whole gamut. Although at some places it would have been helpful to me if I had read the previous installment of the series. Otherwise, it manages pretty well as a stand-alone novel. I can't wait to read the other books in the series!
